Base pay range $115,000.00/yr - $132,000.00/yr

The Brand & Innovation Manager will develop and implement both long and short-term strategies and tactics as agreed with the Brand principals and management, as well as generate volume building programs for the U.S. market and deliver budgeted yearly sales and profit commitments. The Brand & Innovation Manager will perform research and analysis to guide future brand development; as well as work on developing strategic brand positioning and communication, monitor compliance and track results for the brand.

Location and schedule:

This role is based in our New York office and follows a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Brand team to evolve and optimize brand strategy, balancing strategic equity objectives with commercial needs.

Recommend strategic marketing plans in conjunction with management and Brand guidelines.

Develop briefing documents and manage the briefing process for advertising, social media, merchandising, PR and events agencies.

Develop, manage and implement complex projects with multiple, and sometimes competing work streams and timelines, to manage multiple people and agencies and stakeholders (Senior Management, Global brand team, Regional offices).

Support execution of revamped social strategy to deepen emotional connection with clients.

Maintain open communications with Remy Cointreau USA sales force to ensure execution of key programs and consistency with brand strategic guidelines.

Define CRM seasonal strategies and tactics to strengthen loyalty and recruit new audiences.

Work with the Maison team in France to lead new product development from concept through launch, including consumer testing, packaging, positioning and go-to-market plans.

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Track innovation performance and recommend optimization strategies for future launches.

Own the development of high-impact presentations and strategic decks for executive meetings and quarterly business reviews.

Conduct business and competitive analysis, including opportunity and threat identification, and marketing performance measurement.

Analyze brand volume distribution/pricing trends on a local market and national level.

Full ownership and management of annual budget to ensure proper phasing, tracking, and reconciliation of marketing A&P.

Manage and regularly update a detailed budget tracker to be shared across brand marketing and finance.

Manage all PO creation, documentation, tracking, invoice submission, and Goods Receipt processes.

Work cross-functionally with internal teams (US Brand Marketing, Global Brand Team, US Trade Marketing, National Accounts, Sales and Field Activation Team, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence) and external partners (Creative, Media, PR and Experiential Agencies).

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Requires a B.A./B.S. degree in a business-related field, preferably in Marketing (MBA preferred).

A minimum of three (3) years of consumer marketing experience; experience in the alcohol beverage industry or other consumer packaged goods such as cosmetics is preferred.

Specific experience in developing innovation concepts and packaging is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence and collaborate across functions.

Approx. 20% travel, including some overnight stays.

Fluent in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Understanding of basic business and marketing strategy.

Digital savvy with basic understanding of digital channels and platforms.

Ability to plan, brief, execute, measure and socialize a marketing idea through the line – from communications to in-store activation.
