Role Summary Works with supervisor to help manage and oversee team members to accomplish daily safety, quality, and manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing work instructions, training on processes, and supervise daily operations.
Be prepared to step into supervisor’s position during sickness and vacations.
Assist with tool room software and documentation, including Nova Time, SAP, and Captor.
Provide detailed reports for die tryout, crashes, and split investigations.
Perform daily safety inspections and process audits.
Read and interpret CAD data and blueprints to customer specifications.
Apply manufacturing best practices for efficiency, quality, safety, and capability.
Complete miscellaneous duties and projects as directed by supervisor/manager.
Perform die setting and other duties as necessary.
Knowledge and Education
USDOL Certificate of Completion for Tool & Die Maker or 2:1 experience with a 4-year apprenticeship.
Proof of 6 years related experience.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production stamping plant.
Experience with medium to large tandem line dies, transfer dies, or progressive dies.
Experience implementing engineering changes.
Willing to work overtime, including Sundays, to support plant functions.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Ability to prioritize in high-stress environments.
Own basic precision tools.
Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
Additional Information
Visual acuity and physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
