Georgia-Pacific LLC . Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products division is searching for an Operations Manager for our paper manufacturing facility located in Clatskanie, Oregon. This leader will be passionate about building a high-performing team (salaried and hourly) in the Pulp, Power and Recovery departments within a continuous manufacturing environment. This position offers significant growth potential and leadership responsibility for the safe and environmentally compliant operation of complex chemical processes, overseeing a team of approximately 150 employees. The role provides strategic direction through our Principle Based Management (PBM) Philosophy. About the Facility

The Wauna Mill is a fully integrated paper production facility producing tissue, towel, and napkin products, located along the Columbia River between Astoria, Oregon, and Longview, WA. It employs over 800 staff supporting 24x7 operations, with ongoing capital improvements exceeding $150M. Responsibilities

Lead safety initiatives to ensure incident-free operations, identifying hazards and mitigating risks. Manage complex operations including kraft pulp mill, recovery boilers, and steam turbines. Develop teams aligned with our guiding principles to enhance operational performance. Communicate and align goals across safety, quality, production, and reliability. Identify constraints and lead improvements to reduce waste and enhance competitiveness. Coordinate planning for shutdowns, training, and maintenance projects. Provide technical support to operators and maintenance staff. Work with stakeholders to prioritize resources and optimize processes. Qualifications

Experience with pulp mill, power, or recovery operations, including process and equipment knowledge. Leadership experience in manufacturing, refining, or chemical processes. Proven results in process transformation and operational improvements. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Pulp and Paper Science. Over 5 years of leadership in pulp & paper manufacturing.
