Supplier Quality Representative (Level 3 or 4)
to join the
Supplier Quality Northeast & Supplier Performance
team in
Syracuse, New York . The BCA Supplier Quality organization is responsible for oversight of the suppliers’ QMS, evaluating product quality improvement plans and driving cross-functional joint efforts in the right direction. Our responsibility is based on our QMS and our contracts with our suppliers, to ensure that all our products meet our type designs and get there with proper compliance. Our team members enjoy and meet the challenges of working remotely, with a requirement to travel up to 75% of the time. Our team members recognize and appreciate the autonomy, trust and judgment granted to them, to ensure the oversight of our suppliers. Position Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and conduct onsite audits of Boeing procured material, parts, and assemblies Apply knowledge of materials, and special processes to assess supplier capability and capacity to perform and comply with Boeing specifications, engineering documents or other contractual and regulatory requirements Strong understanding of root cause and corrective action analysis and the implementation of acceptable preventative action Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives Conduct source inspections and delegate product acceptance responsibility to suppliers Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity Recognize/Identify risks, and hold suppliers accountable for the mitigation of those risks Create presentations and present to senior management at suppliers and Boeing Support external conformities Use of a personal vehicle, when required for company business, would be reimbursed at mileage rate per applicable company policy Exhibit an extremely high level of Emotional Intelligence Protect the Boeing brand in word and deed Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) 3+ years of experience of conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits 3+ years of experience of conducting Quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments 1+ years of experience using project management software or another portfolio management tool Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications Willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of experience in the application / deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or AS9145 within organizations 3+ year of working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and AS9145 1+ years of experience with the application of improvement methodologies such as Lean, Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma 1+ years of experience with mixed technologies – machining, fabrication and assembly, electronics assembly, etc Working knowledge of quality tools and processes such as FMEA, control plans, SPC and MSA Other Information
