Position Summary Catalent, Inc. is a leading global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and supplying products that help people live better and healthier lives. This role is based in our Boston‑area facility, which serves as a global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacture. You will provide maintenance and technical support for service and repair of production and ancillary equipment, ensuring optimal equipment operation and minimizing downtime.
Working Hours This is a full‑time on‑site salaried role. Work hours are Wednesday‑Sunday weekly from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with periodic overtime as needed. A 3‑month training period will be completed Monday‑Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Provide support for validation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of all GMP and non‑GMP equipment and systems.
Diagnose and repair electronic, pneumatic, and control system problems on GMP equipment.
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing/packaging equipment.
Execute equipment‑related work orders and manage spare‑parts inventory. Troubleshoot problems during equipment set‑up or change‑over.
Assist in design and implementation of engineering controls and support process engineers as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
High School Diploma minimum plus vocational/trade school degree or training.
At least five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in cGMP biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or other FDA‑regulated industry.
Basic computer skills, including e‑mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, and preventative maintenance software.
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
Proficiency in servicing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
General understanding of PLC systems.
Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds. Minimal travel on a rare basis. Must communicate orally with customers, vendors, and co‑workers. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential.
