Responsibilities

Lead team of engineers and other technical staff to successfully deliver single family development projects.

Be respectful of client timelines through effective coordination of project tasks, budgets and schedules.

Participate in the development of company design and production standards to continue excellence within our technical expertise.

Be open to new ways of accomplishing goals.

Seek guidance from other leaders; be open to suggestions in various aspects of project management.

Apply diversified knowledge of principles / practices in broad areas of assignments.

Make decisions independently on problems and methods.

Engineering planning, analysis, design, estimating, contracting, project management, construction and delivery phases for Land Development.

Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of a major project.

Select procedures and check complete reports and calculations.

Develop understanding and follow WGA QA/QC procedures and basic business practice and laws related to area of practice.

Build and maintain relationships between project teams and collaborate to ensure that technical, quality, cost and client requirements are implemented.

Coordinate with outside sub-consultants.

Prepare a range of reports to communicate project information to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

Handle multiple simultaneous projects and work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Represent WGA in client and industry related conferences, organizations, and meetings.

Develop trusting professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.

Prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Lead and mentor junior members of WGA.

Qualifications

±5 years of experience.

BS degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas.

Minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams and clients for single family residential projects from conception to completion, including estimating costs.

Extensive knowledge of design and construction practices.

Experience and willingness to identify new opportunities with existing clients and develop new client partnerships.

Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of employees.

Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.
