Overview
Customer Service Associate I role at Family Dollar. This position involves delivering a great shopping experience for every customer and supporting store operations.
Responsibilities
Assist customers with questions and recommendations
Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment according to productivity standards
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash, neat and presentable areas)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
