Position Demand Planning Analyst (PLM)
for our First Quality facility located in McElhattan, PA. This role coordinates the run-out of finished goods, packaging, and raw materials for product transition projects across multiple teams using SAP to minimize obsolescence expense, meet customer requirements, and clearly understand the impact of changes.
Responsibilities
Develop transition scenarios using SAP FG & RM quantities to project run-out timing and obsolescence. Collaborate with the PLM Project Manager to advance transition scenarios and obtain approval from the Category BU to execute the transition plan.
Coordinate product transitions with Demand Planning, Purchasing, Supply Planning, and Customer Service.
Administer material status code changes for FG & RM as transitions progress.
Monitor PLM workflows in IPS tool in SAP to ensure items are set up in a timely manner.
Lead project transition meetings to ensure execution aligns with the original project plan, assumptions, and approved obsolescence.
Identify variances/risks and implement corrective actions with appropriate teams. Escalate risks to the PLM Project Manager and PLM Team Lead as needed.
Develop transition updates for the team as required.
Document transition results for each project.
Develop Speed to Market reporting through the IPS Tool in SAP and draw insights to improve future customer timelines.
Provide additional supply chain ad hoc reporting as needed.
Apply continuous improvement techniques to refine and enhance the transition management portion of the PLM process.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
Planning experience in demand or supply production planning is preferred.
Strong analytical, project management, collaboration, and influencing skills at multiple levels.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and customers; develop strong working relationships.
Excellent computer skills with intermediate Excel knowledge.
ERP system experience; SAP preferred.
Strong business acumen and communication skills (written and verbal).
Consumer goods manufacturing experience is a plus.
