The Logistics Specialist will support a complex contract, project, or task(s) by tracking and reporting on various aspects directly impacting operations and production of mission requirements, transportation, supply, and maintenance. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the administration and coordination of logistics functions, ensuring efficient and effective support of command missions and daily operational activities.
The essential responsibilities of this role include:
Assisting with maintaining and tracking operations, tasks, and missions on contract.
Answering and responding to phone/fax/email inquiries from customers, Company, employees, and the like.
Ensuring proper maintenance of contract requirements and information in the contracts system.
Participating in outside audits and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assisting in maintaining oversight on program processes to ensure completion of tasking and projects according to contract, corporate, and program deadlines.
Assisting in resolving diverse problems of moderate scope and escalating to the Operations Manager as required.
Identifying program/contract requirements and overseeing the development of appropriate work processes and production to meet program/contract needs.
Monitoring assigned operations and integrating all elements of the organization to ensure schedules are maintained within cost and performance standards.
Ensuring accuracy and completion of team assignments and tasks.
Compiling, copying, and distributing various reports and documentation.
Developing and reviewing reports and deliverables verifying content and compliance.
Monitoring the mobilization and transition of personnel in fulfillment of contract requirements as assigned.
Acting as a point-of-contact for operations in the absence of the Operations Manager for matters relating to the contract as representative between personnel and Program Management.
Ensuring compliance with all US and local government reporting requirements.
The minimum position knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role include:
An Associate degree in an associated discipline preferred.
Four (4) years of related experience in an operational position.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Ability to operate office machinery such as fax and copier machines.
Good decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
Service in any DOD component preferred.
Experience in Deployment, Distribution, and Transportation Logistics operations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.
