Approximately 10-15 hours per week during the academic year. Job Description: The Studio Arts and Craft Centre consists of 5 main areas – photography, jewelry and metals, printmaking, ceramics, and fibers. The Outreach Coordinator is the contact person for the Studio Arts and Craft Centre for creating collaborations with outside groups and organizations. Therefore, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for knowing about the potential of each of these areas in order to imagine collaborations with these outside groups to accomplish events and creative projects. They work closely with the Program Manager and Union Professional Staff to stay on top of these requests and questions and also help develop programming for events throughout the semester. Qualifications Must enjoy working with people both inside and outside of the SACC. Must have a working knowledge of all of the areas in the studio and be willing to learn more. Must be willing to work SACC Special Events. Must be dedicated to the SACC mission. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Responsibilities Have open communication with the Program Manager and Operations Manager. Promptly & professionally respond to email communications. Work with the Marketing Coordinator and area leads on ideas and improvements. Reach out to people / organizations / departments / etc. about collaboration opportunities. Respond to incoming outreach / collaborative opportunities. Help organize and see through collaborative events and opportunities. Attend meetings with Event Services to determine layout of events. Plan creative events for campus-wide activities that complement the offerings of the SACC. All staff must attend regular SACC staff meetings (staff meetings are set at the beginning of each semester to accommodate student’s class schedules). *This position is open to UW-Milwaukee students with a minimum 2.25 cumulative GPA.
