About the Role The Assistant Superintendent will assist in leading and managing field teams while overseeing day-to-day site operations. The role includes maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, coordinating subcontractors and materials, supporting inspections, collaborating with the project management team, and upholding company guidelines and jobsite orderliness.

Responsibilities

Assist with managing field operations and supporting the site team

Enforce safety, cleanliness, and quality standards

Coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries

Communicate delivery needs to the superintendent and project team

Review project documents to anticipate RFIs and coordination needs

Assist with daily, progress, and compliance reporting

Document subcontractor issues and performance

Support project planning and scheduling updates

Review approved submittals and verify installed work aligns with specifications

Contribute to closeout and owner turnover

Perform rough carpentry tasks when needed, including layout, blocking, minor demolition, and basic formwork

Promote safety as a core principle and raise concerns as needed

Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience

2+ years of ground-up commercial or multifamily construction background

OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within the first year

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with construction software
