Overview Seeking skilled maintenance technicians to join a dynamic team in Twin Falls, ID. This role is ideal for maintenance technicians looking to thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. A generous relocation package and a $5,000 sign-on bonus are available for qualified candidates ready to make the move and grow with the team.
Responsibilities
Perform timely repairs and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including filling machines, metal detectors, case erectors, packers, sealers, pasteurizers, motors, pumps, and conveying equipment.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, identifying issues with electrical/control systems (sensors, limit switches, solenoids, motors, servos, PLC programming, PID loops) and mechanical systems (pumps, vacuum pumps, belt drives, gear reduction drives, piping, valve diagnosis and replacement, air handling systems, material delivery systems).
Implement safety and continuous improvements, equipment calibrations, and reliability opportunities.
Ensure operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, motor control devices, pumps, conveyor systems, instrumentation, and all production equipment.
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Control downtime by informing operation workers of routine preventative maintenance and operation techniques, monitoring compliance, and reporting to the supervisor as necessary.
Provide mechanical maintenance information to prevent equipment damage and answer maintenance-related questions.
Fabricate repair parts or additions for processes as necessary.
Serve as an "Expert" resource, providing training and assistance to Operations and other support groups.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of related experience.
An associate's degree, Technical School Certificate, or Military training in electrical or electronics systems, industrial controls, or manufacturing systems/mechanical systems.
Experience in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical breakdowns in manufacturing production equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to use hand tools.
Strong mechanical proficiency, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work with vendors, contractors, and company employees.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Completion of an Industrial Maintenance vocational or technical school program.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong electrical troubleshooting (480 voltage).
PLC Allen Bradley and automation experience.
Experience working with sensors, motors.
Previous food manufacturing experience in fast-paced environments.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience with Techma or Tetrapak machinery is a plus.
Fabrication experience, particularly sanitary clean welds.
Experience with "R Seals" (form fill seal machinery).
Injection Molding machinery maintenance.
Licensed Industrial Electricians are highly desired.
6 sigma certification.
Experience with reliability laser alignments and Ladder Logic.
Strong soft skills and ability to enhance company culture.

Work Environment Our clean and fast-paced food production facility is one of the top employers in the Twin Falls area. The facility is automated with production machinery, conveyors, and packaging equipment. The shifts are rotating weekly between 3-12 hour shifts and 4-12 hour shifts from 4:30 PM to 4:30 AM (Night Shift) with occasional Day Shift openings. Advancement to day shifts is available based on seniority.
Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Twin Falls, ID.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72,800 - $93,600 per year. 401k, health, vision, dental.
Workplace Type Fully onsite position in Twin Falls, ID.
