Process (WCM/Lean) Engineer

The role drives optimization and improvement initiatives, analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, and implementing solutions that enhance product quality, consistency, and throughput.
Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing processes and lead continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and product quality.
Document processes and process changes, and conduct root‑cause analysis to resolve operational issues and prevent recurrence.
Develop and maintain process control strategies and standards in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, tool room, facilities, finance, customer service, and cross‑functional teams.
Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program activities: participate in focused improvement projects, provide WCM training, and guide plant teams on WCM tools and methodologies.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the WCM program and report progress.
Act as 5S Plant Champion and support 5S practices throughout the facility.
Mentor colleagues in using WCM tools/methods and support People and EHS pillars as required.
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain process control strategies and standards and fully document all changes to ensure clear communication.
Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization in efficiency, quality, consistency, and throughput.
Implement solutions based on data‑driven analysis, including Six Sigma and statistical process control methods.
Conduct root‑cause analysis to resolve operational issues and prevent recurrence using structured problem‑solving methods.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
4+ years’ experience in an engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical judgment, project leadership, and strong communication skills.
At least 2 years of experience with WCM / Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement.
Proven track record of project development and management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills for designing tools and fixtures.
Knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and applications.
Teaching and mentoring skills.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Pay Transparency Base salary range for this position is $79,500.00 to $123,500.00 per year. The total target cash range (base salary + annual bonus) is $87,450.00 to $135,850.00. Additional compensation may vary by location, internal equity, and qualification.
