The Materials/Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for assessing, forecasting, and restocking inventory to support ORMC’s efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Adhere to Orlando Health policies and procedures for obtaining, returning, and exchanging products.

Report inventory variances and fluctuations to the Materials Manager and Service-line Specialist.

Implement change processes and engage staff in the transition efforts.

Serve as a resource to the Materials Management team, utilizing proficient data-abstracting software.

Collaborate with the surgery team to resolve supply issues, adjust par levels, and manage product on shelves and specialty carts.

Act as a liaison to Materials Management, vendors, and service-line specialists, enhancing efficiency and customer service.

Facilitate product substitutes with service-line specialists and corporate resource analysts.

Update and maintain accurate inventory data, initiate supply additions, and correct existing records.

Receive and verify product deliveries and promptly restock inventory.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inventory area, including shelves, carts, and bins.

Education/Training

Required: Associate’s degree.

Alternate Qualification: Two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Associate’s degree, in addition to the required experience.

Experience

Two (2) years of experience in an inventory management environment.

Familiarity with automated materials management systems is essential.
