Ford Diesel Technician
TUTTLE‑CLICK FORD LINCOLN
is looking for an experienced individual to fill our Ford Diesel Technician position at the Ford/Lincoln Irvine dealership.
Base Pay Range $33.00/hr - $173.00/hr
Compensation Diesel Technician Position includes a base hourly rate of $33.00 to $173.00 with potential production bonuses and a retention bonus of $1.25 per booked hour.
Responsibilities
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards.
Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work.

Qualifications
Ford Diesel Certified Technician highly preferred.
2+ years of Service Technician experience, preferred.
ASE Certification preferred.
A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.
Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic computer skills.
Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively.
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license and insurability by employer’s carrier.
