Job Summary
HVAC Tour Mechanic (DD) at
EMCOR Group, Inc.
– responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment in Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings.
Rotating shift schedule.
Covered by the CBA for Local 99.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor site operations through the BMCS control system.
Assist with maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
Supervise Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed.
Assist General Maintenance Workers with maintenance and repairs of building air systems.
Assist with troubleshooting of all equipment on site.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment on site.
Institute corrective action and inform supervisor of any deficiencies found while performing the job.
Monitor subcontractors and provide reports when needed.
Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications
CFC Universal
Journeyman HVAC License, or MD Class 1 Engineer, or DC 3rd, or equivalent.
Must have Mechanical Electrical Experience.
Three (3) or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on commercial‑industrial building equipment, including:
Chillers ≥ 500 tons Pumps Air Handlers Cooling Towers Heat Exchangers VAV’s
Demonstrate ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and specifications.
Demonstrate practical knowledge of chiller plant operations.
Demonstrate practical knowledge of building air systems.
Must be willing to work rotating shift schedule.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance.
Physical Demands
Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs./push up to 100 lbs.).
Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies, parts.
Manual dexterity and mobility.
Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
