Position Summary The role of the Project Manager is to plan and finalize projects for residential, commercial and public land development projects according to project deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager will ensure work is complete, accurate, and in accordance with good engineering practice. The Project Manager shall have diverse experience with different types of land development projects. The Project Manager is responsible for meeting their project budgets and schedules.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares proposals, participates in proposal interviews and presentations.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work
Manages design team including staff from multiple locations and/or disciplines.
Responsible for coordinating multiple project completions within budget and on schedule
Responsible for initiating client billing, handles scope changes and contract administration.
Can independently perform assignments.
Mentors other staff and assume training responsibilities.
Develop and maintain client relationships in order to obtain future work
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
6+ years of site/civil engineering experience related to Land Development
PE License
Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Proficient with other engineering software required in area of expertise
Work Requirements
May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds
Ability to walk construction sites
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.
Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related errands or to attend meetings may be required
