Base pay range $80.00/hr - $85.00/hr

Optomi, in partnership with a leading entertainment company, is seeking a Program Manager – Broadcast Technology to lead large-scale, high-impact infrastructure and media technology projects within the live operations and engineering space. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience managing broadcast technology initiatives, production control rooms (PCR), master control rooms (MCR), and data center buildouts, ensuring seamless delivery of systems critical to live broadcast operations.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of large-scale physical buildouts and refreshes of broadcast facilities, including digital centers and media rooms.

Oversee infrastructure design, signal flow, and media platform configurations, such as Evertz Mediator for media playout and network origination.

Coordinate inter‑facility connectivity, ensuring compliance with industry standards (SMPTE, AES) and internal governance requirements.

Translate production requirements into detailed project plans with clear deliverables and timelines aligned with strategic business objectives.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, facilities, IT, and production to deliver broadcast technology projects on time and within budget.

Manage procurement, logistics, OpEx/CapEx budgeting, and forecasting to support build and integration efforts.

Ensure thorough documentation and seamless handoff of systems and workflows to operations teams post‑deployment.

Understand media and metadata workflows used within the broadcast industry to effectively plan and execute activities across departments.

Develop and maintain a consolidated project view, including timelines, dependencies, risks, change management, and stakeholder communications.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of applicable project management experience in a technology environment, preferably for a large enterprise.

Proven success leading broadcast technology or infrastructure projects across matrixed organizations.

Experience managing live broadcast technology projects involving PCR/MCR environments or playout systems.

Demonstrated ownership mentality, accountability, and results orientation.

Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, program lifecycle management, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining alignment with executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with major broadcast or entertainment companies.

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Hands‑on experience with Evertz Mediator or similar media playout systems.

Experience working on data center builds supporting media platforms.
