Overview
PMA seeks a Project Manager in Austin, TX. The role involves overseeing and reviewing the development of architectural and engineering construction drawings and bid documents; establishing, directing and documenting project meetings; and engaging with clients, city officials, architects, engineers, contractors and consultants to present project status and anticipate issues. The Project Manager will establish partnerships and serve as liaison between the client and design and construction professionals; initiate and manage procurement of design, construction and consultant services; and draft, review, communicate, negotiate, and enforce contractual documents for design, construction and consultant professionals. Responsibilities
Direct and monitor project budget and schedule, including updating and maintaining web-based project controls; anticipate potential changes and provide solutions or analyses of changes. Organize and review value engineering alternatives with the owner; determine requirements and facilitate procurement of peer reviews and specialty consultants. Oversee onsite activities to verify contractual compliance with design specifications, schedules and workmanship standards. Authorize issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and develop and process scheduled progress draw packages for payment. Report on the construction process and construction-related issues; manage the project close-out process to a successful completion. Travel up to 10% domestically; travel expenses are paid by the employer. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field and 5 years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience as Project Manager or related role in the real estate development industry. Experience should include: conducting internal peer reviews of construction projects; liaising with architecture, design and engineering professionals and general contractor professionals to ensure project requirements are met; reviewing and negotiating contractual terms with key stakeholders; managing budgets and resources to ensure project completion within set budget and schedule; and using Procore project management software.
