Job Description Johnson & Johnson Technology Services (JJTS) is recruiting for a Sr. Manager – SAP BTP Platform Services Maintenance and Operations to support multiple business units across North America. This role is based in Raritan, NJ, and resides within the TS‑Supply Chain organization. The Service Maintenance and Operations Manager will support the operation and maintenance of all NA SAP‑Finance sector services, overseeing SAP BTP Platform Service Administration and ensuring efficient and expedient recovery of services in case of disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design: Work closely with clients and the SAP Practice team to understand business needs and translate them into effective SAP BTP solutions.
Technical Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of SAP BTP services, including SAP Cloud Platform, data management, analytics, and application development, as well as SAP Cloud Platform integration tools, APIs, and latest SAP products (BTP, FIORI, ECC, S/4HANA, BW/Web Dispatcher, cloud connectors, Satellite Systems).
Integration: Seamlessly integrate SAP BTP with SAP S/4HANA (private cloud) and other SAP and non‑SAP enterprise solutions, ensuring end‑to‑end processes and data flow. Provide guidance on system integrations, data flows, and security considerations within the SAP BTP environment.
Security and Compliance: Ensure security, compliance, and optimal performance of the SAP BTP environments are addressed for specific client contexts.
Collaboration: Work across all levels of the organization, including internal stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, SAP Solution Architects, and project stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient SAP BTP solutions.
Operational Excellence: Oversee BTP Platform activities, stay updated on industry trends and best practices, conduct system assessments, performance tuning, and optimization, and manage monitoring infrastructure (agent versions, patches).
Project Delivery: Lead or participate in full project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and support. Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and high‑performance teams while driving continuous process improvement.
Compliance Process: Apply Agile processes (incident management, change, problem, release management) and service validation processes. Configure and customize SAP BTP components to meet business needs and facilitate change management.
Communication & Leadership: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, represent business and IT implications during major service disruptions, and lead with enthusiasm, decisiveness, and integrity. Implement best practices for talent management, assessment, and diversity and inclusion.
Problem Solving: Apply systematic problem‑solving experience, accountability, and ownership to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
Negotiation: Exhibit maturity, high judgment, and negotiation skills to influence and drive success.
Other Skill Sets: Focus on business outcomes, strategic thinking, prioritization, and continuous feedback for personal and career development.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience and Skills
14 years of experience as a System Architect supporting SAP applications and platforms, with understanding of servers, application architecture, system connectivity, platform design, storage, databases, and compliance processes.
Experience supporting SAP applications and platforms with similar technical depth.
Current and/or prior people‑management experience required.
Knowledge of business processes in SAP or other ERP services preferred.
Front‑end tooling using FIORI, UI5, and integration design knowledge preferred.
Experience with SAP BTP App Development & Integration, BTP Architecture and Design, S4 HANA, SAP BW/ECC, and cloud technologies preferred.
SAP BTP Certifications (Solution Architect / Integration) preferred.
