Description Build your team in Tennessee for HMB! We are looking for an Environmental Planning and Permitting Division Lead to join our team. Key Responsibilities

Lead the business development, operations and production effort for the Environmental Planning and Permitting market

Prepare fee proposals, scope of work, budgeting, invoicing and financial forecasting

Aid in the development of NEPA documents and/or permit applications

Assist staff in environmental planning and permitting

Collaborate with other disciplines and clients to complete projects

Ensure projects comply with applicable local, state and federal guidelines and codes

Hire and guide junior staff by providing direction and constructive feedback to support the market

Act as point of contact for Environmental Planning & Permitting

Develop project work plans and scopes of work, manage projects and client relationships

Administer quality assurance for project deliverables

Maintain effective communications with clients and project teams

Ensure staff resources are deployed in a productive and profitable manner

Conduct regular meetings to balance project needs with staff availability

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

BS/MS in Civil Engineering, Biology, Archaeology, Geology, Natural or Environmental Sciences or related field

10+ years of professional experience in NEPA and/or permitting

Ability to review environmental documents for technical and regulatory completeness

Demonstrated knowledge of all levels of NEPA and/or the environmental permitting process

Knowledge of environmental regulations and ability to interpret and apply them in project-specific contexts

Experience working with state and federal regulatory agencies

Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe products and GIS

Experience in Leadership, Business Development, Client Management, Project Management and Production

Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets

Ability to guide junior staff and participate in environmental planning and permitting
