Technical Business Analyst - Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Discover (local only) Alpharetta, GA (Day 1 onsite, 5 days per week in the office)

Technical Business Analyst for Back Office & Settlement development within Merchant Solutions. Acts as requirements engineer with strong IT, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Drives requirements definition and execution across multiple stakeholder groups. Designs repeatable processes for requirements gathering, facilitation, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Assessment & Definition – Analyze business needs and perform gap analysis. Knowledge of Payment Acquiring Services business model and Settlement services is critical. Define future‑state business architecture and represent it via business/system process flows.

Requirement Gathering – Gather business and technical/functional requirements for SDLC phases. Schedule and facilitate requirement elicitation sessions with internal/external resources. Identify gaps, impacts, and requirements across impacted areas. Interpret functional & non‑functional requirements in multiple formats (written, oral, diagram, schedule). Apply mathematical concepts to practical scenarios.

Requirement Documentation – Create and manage business requirement collateral for each SDLC stage.

Requirement Support, Management & Communication – Modify requirements through amendments/variances for scope changes. Support integration testing to ensure specifications meet business needs. Lead knowledge‑sharing sessions and present information comprehensively. Respond effectively to IT, product owners, and internal/external client queries. Demonstrate strong organization, time management, listening, communication, and attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications

Proficiency with tools: JIRA, Tableau, Confluence, Clarity, MS Office.

8+ years related IT experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

In‑depth knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, and industry.

Ability to handle complex processes, systems, and projects.

Self‑starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Deep knowledge of application development technologies, methodologies, and merchant acquiring industry.

Experience with transaction processing and monetary settlement technology, Payment technology projects.

Exposure to technical projects involving compliance release cycles with credit payment networks (Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Discover) and debit networks (Maestro, Interlink, ACCEL, etc).
