Collaborating with Product Managers aligns buying decisions with overall strategy and market trends, adjusting inventory plans based on performance metrics and upcoming promotions. Ensuring smooth integration between buying, planning, and distribution strategies, continual monitoring of inventory levels and implementation of processes drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Manage the allocation of inventory to various retail locations Establish SKU replenishment points for optimal inventory efficiency Analyze historical selling to create optimal inventory size buying ratios Analyze data to determine optimal buy quantities within category Implement strategies for margin growth, improved inventory turn, and responsive inventory action Continually monitor inventory levels and take responsive actions to ensure optimal use of OTB dollars Maintain and communicate accurate information to teams on inventory flow dates Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly hindsight of the business Manage existing processes, systems and calendars and implement new ones to drive efficiency Collaborate with Product Managers before each season to understand strategy & market and to integrate buying decisions with the Allocation strategy Allocate merchandise based on performance and adjust inventory plans accordingly Interact with different departments to integrate buying and planning with distribution strategies Monitor the Distribution Centre inventory and ensure efficiency, analyzing and maximizing store performance and omnichannel Anticipate needs based on upcoming promotions Skills
