Position Summary
Want to use your strategic skillset to perfect the shopping experience for customers around the country within a Fashion Distribution Center. The Operations Manager is a critical thought‑leadership role that uses data to paint a process picture for the leadership team and business partners, inspiring them to execute with excellence. As an operational role model and partner, your influence will be key to shaping the business and family feel in your fulfillment or distribution center. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you’ll support your team in fulfilling our customer promise and empowering people around the country to save more and live better.
What you'll do
Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates)
Drive and implement the business plan for your area to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety) and operational improvements
Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands
Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements
Monitor and ensure compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives
Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or consulting others as needed
Supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and supporting learning and growth
Respect the individual: build high‑performing teams, embrace differences, create a workplace of belonging, and create opportunities for all associates to thrive
Act with integrity: maintain and promote the highest standards of ethics and compliance, model Walmart values, and support a culture of accountability and positive impact

Your schedule Fulfillment and Distribution Centers operate 24/7 and business needs change seasonally. Your schedule requirements will be assigned to align with business needs.
You will be eligible for PTO and/or PPPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes.
The amount you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment. It will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.
Compensation and benefits The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 – $126,000.00.
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location, stock.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, developing managers/supervisors, managing workload, and participating in hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas
OR 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates, managing associate workload, and participating in hiring and promotion of associates
OR 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, developing managers/supervisors, managing workload, and participating in hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)
