Job Summary

HealthRIGHT 360, a family of programs, is located across 13 different counties in California. HealthRIGHT 360 provides an array of medical and behavioral health services to some of the most marginalized populations, ranging from primary care, mental health services, detox, substance use disorder treatment in both residential and outpatient settings, and transitional services for the criminal justice population. Our residential program at Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC) is contracted with Department of Public Health’s (DPH) Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program which provides Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services to up to 99 adult men and women: 33 that are for men who are judicially involved, 33 for men, and 33 for women. MLK BHC works closely with other behavioral health programs to provide continuum of services for low income/Medi-Cal population who resides in LA County. Key Responsibilities

People Management: Supervise, train, and guide direct service staff. Assist management with interviews, selection, hires, and terminations. Ensure that all direct reports are in compliance with HR 360’s policies, procedures, position expectations and performance goals, and contractual requirements. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, support, and conduct formal performance evaluations in a timely manner. Identify direct reports’ strengths and weaknesses and strive to develop each team member to their fullest potential. Deliver and arrange training and resources to ensure that direct reports are successful in their roles. Ensure proper coverage of the program by creating work schedules and approving time away from work. Maintain open communication with the manager concerning employee matters/needs, client assignment, workload distribution across the team, and seek consultation when needed. Ensure that communication from management is delivered to direct reports. Ensure that all direct reports submit documentation in accordance with program requirements and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and agency’s policies and procedures. This includes timeliness of documentation with progress notes being completed no later than the following business day, assessments, treatment plans, and discharges occurring on time. Treatment Oversight : Ensure that all treatment service plans and activities are executed in keeping with the organization’s values, mission, vision, and strategy. Facilitate and assist with client case conferences as applicable. Ensure that staff provide strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent services in an ethical and legal manner. Direct Service: Provide services within the scope of practice, which may include crisis intervention, assessments, individual and group counseling, case conferences, educational groups, and treatment plans as assigned. Assume ownership for any crisis as it relates to service delivery and see it through to completion. Maintain documentation of services provided in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360’s policies and procedures to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. And perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education, Certification, or Licensure High school diploma or equivalent. Higher education preferred. Due to SAPC requirements, a copy of diploma or transcript of applicant’s highest level of education is required to be submitted prior to hire. Substance Use Disorder or Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification from an accredited California agency (CAADE, CADTP, CCAPP). Possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Experience Ideally at least 1-3 years’ experience providing supervision to direct service providers, preferably in a non-profit organization or comparable agencies with similar client populations. Experience with efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring disorders. Experience providing trauma-informed services. Must complete background check and livescan clearance. We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
