Your Role at Pura Fragrance Compliance Manager , you will drive Pura’s fragrance compliance while collaborating across departments to optimize processes and support business strategies. You will help inspire belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. What You’ll Own

Fragrance Regulatory Compliance: Lead the regulatory strategy for fragrances across home, car, and other diffusion devices, ensuring global regulatory compliance and IFRA standards.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential regulatory risks for new and existing fragrance products.

Regulatory Submissions & Filings: Manage the submission and maintenance of regulatory dossiers, including PIFs and other filings for international market access with cross-functional support.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS): Create and maintain SDS processes, collaborating with the EHS team, with near-term focus on automated SDS generation software.

Fragrance Safety & Claims: Support substantiation of fragrance-related claims in line with regulatory guidelines and consumer trust.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for fragrance-related regulatory inquiries from internal teams and external customers.

Process & Documentation: Develop and maintain systems for tracking regulatory compliance, audits, and certifications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, R&D, Legal, Quality, Operations, Customer Care and Marketing to embed regulatory considerations from ideation to launch.

Training & Advocacy: Train internal teams on regulatory changes and advocate for proactive regulatory readiness.

Essential Functions

Compliance Leadership: Partner with Legal to lead fragrance regulatory standards and guide product development and R&D teams.

Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records for regulatory documentation, certifications, and audits.

Claims Substantiation: Support marketing with regulatory guidance on permissible claims, ensuring claims are evidence-based.

Audit Readiness: Ensure the fragrance regulatory program is audit-ready for internal and external audits.

Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor regulatory changes and best practices (e.g., RIFM, IFRA).

Labeling Compliance: Oversee product labeling to meet regional/global requirements; collaborate with packaging on packaging regulations and accurate information.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, or related field. MS/PhD a plus.

Experience: 7+ years in fragrance regulatory compliance, ideally in consumer products, home care, personal care, or cosmetics.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of global fragrance regulations; experience authoring SDSs; knowledge of IFRA and global fragrance industry requirements.

Skills: Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to implement regulatory requirements; strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; proficient in regulatory tracking tools and PLM; ability to author SDSs.

Other: Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
