The Marketing Optimization Specialist will serve a key role in Marvel’s Growth & Engagement Marketing team to drive continued efficiency across channels. Supporting key publishing initiatives (subscription, collection/retail sales, etc.), this role will help create a test-and-learn methodology for the group’s marketing efforts. This role will aim to drive incremental growth of KPIs across Paid Media, CRM, Guest Experience, and conversion funnels by designing and implementing marketing experimentation within these channels. Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Insights

Examine key marketing funnels across channels to develop and inform marketing test recommendations with the goal to increase conversion and performance of key metrics. For example, monitor web and app conversion funnels for Marvel Unlimited to improve CTR, app download, purchase, etc. Partner with BI team and channel stakeholders to define success metrics and ensure experiments are measurable, actionable, and aligned with KPIs. Interpret test results using advanced analytical techniques and translate insights into actionable marketing tactics and strategic pivots. Provide routine performance updates to key stakeholders to inform future campaign design.

Testing Methodology and Roadmap

Collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence team to align experimentation frameworks with broader analytics strategies and cross‑functional business goals. Design and refine multivariate testing methodologies, including variable selection, interaction modeling, and iterative optimization based on performance outcomes. Define best practices for randomization, control groups, and sample sizing to ensure reliable and interpretable outcomes. Work with channel owners across the Growth & Engagement Marketing team to identify, build, and maintain a campaign testing roadmap geared around key growth channels: Paid Media, Email/Mobile marketing, Web/App purchase funnels, Guest Experience.

Project Management

Manage cross‑functional testing initiatives across multiple business units, ensuring consistent documentation, stakeholder alignment, and timely execution. Drive adoption of a “test‑and‑learn” culture across the marketing group. Ensure project deliverables are tracked, routed, and approved to maintain timely launch of test campaigns.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience 2+ years in experimentation, marketing analytics, or related field Experience designing and running A/B and multivariate testing with statistical significance across digital and physical media Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) Strong understanding of digital marketing ecosystem across paid media and CRM systems/channels Ability to project manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Experience with Adobe analytics suite or comparable analytics platforms Data‑driven and curious mindset with an eye to embedding experimentation into decision‑making Exceptional organizational skills and extraordinary attention to detail Dynamic problem‑solving skills and ability to work with cross‑functional internal teams Strong communication and writing skills, comfortable communicating across all levels Creative and innovative mindset A fan of Marvel, and lover of comics is a plus Preferred

Background in marketing measurement (MMM, attribution, incrementality testing) strongly preferred Compensation

The hiring range for this position in New York is $70,900.00–$91,700.00 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may also be provided as part of the compensation package, together with full‑range medical, financial, and other benefits. About Marvel Studios
