Family Services Eligibility Specialist

Eligibility Specialist – Family Services (Bilingual Preferred) Location : Dallas, TX 75247 | Onsite Compensation :$20–$21/hr. BOE Schedule :8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday ROLE IMPACT The Family Services Eligibility Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring eligible families receive timely access to quality child care, child development and family services assistance programs. This position requires exceptional customer service skills and a keen attention to detail to accurately assess eligibility, process cases, and maintain compliance with state and federal program standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Determine eligibility and complete case documentation for family services, child development & child care assistance programs Process enrollment forms in alignment with policy Accurately manage high-volume data entry Determine eligibility for financial assistance from programs such as SNAP & TANF Communicate program eligibility, outcomes, and responsibilities clearly to families Educate customers on alternative resources when ineligible and ensure case actions comply with timelines MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1–2 years’ experience determining eligibility for financial assistance (e.g., SNAP, TANF) Child Development or Social Services experience is a plus Demonstrated job stability — no more than 2 jobs in past 5 years Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS TWIST (The Workforce Information System of Texas) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Internal case management systems PREFERRED SKILLS Bilingual in Spanish Bachelor’s degree in related field Experience in child development or social services LEGAL NOTICE By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
