Summary of responsibilities

This hybrid position combines the responsibilities of a Children’s Day Treatment Aide with client transportation duties, ensuring clients safely travel to and from day treatment programs while supporting therapeutic services. Participates in the delivery service of day treatment programs as assigned. Always maintains client confidentiality. Provides day treatment services in compliance with DMH standards. Transports clients to and from day treatment programs following all transportation safety requirements. Attends and participates appropriately in clinical staffing’s when requested to do so by the day treatment specialist. Responds to clients' needs in an appropriate and timely manner. Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment. Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor. Participates in interagency collaboration for the provision of client services. Serves as liaison with local school systems to promote day treatment services. Notifies an appropriate designated supervisor a minimum of two hours in advance of any program absence so that the supervisor can arrange program coverage if necessary. Transportation Responsibilities: Sign out vehicles in compliance with policy. Completes vehicle inspection prior to driving. Maintains safe driving habits and adheres to all transportation safety requirements. Ensures cleanliness of vehicles. Follows established transportation routes and schedules. Reports any vehicle maintenance issues promptly. Experience & Education

Required Clean driving record required. Satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site. Satisfactory completion of CPI within 30 days of employment. Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. Ability to be covered under company insurance to drive a company vehicle for client transportation. Ability to transport clients in private vehicles when necessary. Completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards. Knowledge of safe transportation practices and procedures. Preferred High School Diploma or GED; college work in behavioral science preferred. Previous experience in a mental health setting strongly preferred. Previous experience working with an SED population in a treatment setting strongly preferred. How to Apply
