Employment Application for Category and Product Development Manager Position Summary: We are looking for an individual who is driven, creative, analytical, and a great communicator. Then you might be the ideal candidate for the position of Category and Product Development Manager. Responsibilities
Oversight of assigned categories to ensure that they are represented clearly, consistently, and effectively so that ultimately the categories’ revenue and profitability is improved. Identify product and brand trends and opportunities and grow selection by managing new products’ launches through product development and manufacturing. Perform competitive analysis and develop marketing strategies including Go-to-Market plans and brand creation in a technology focused industry. Conduct deep data analysis for sales and marketplace data; monitor market trends; coordinate with a marketing team, industrial designers, and domestic and global manufacturers; and establish the pricing strategies that grow sales and create adequate margins. Generate forecasts and work with logistics to ensure proper stock levels. Support relationship and activities with GigaParts corporate brands within our company’s portfolio of products. Lead the planning and coordinating efforts of a cross-functional team that successfully introduces new products and brands including: designs and enhancements, supplier and manufacturer sourcing, negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers, compliance certifications, packaging, landing pages and/or websites, quality images of products and features, technically written materials, descriptions of products and features, complete entry of descriptive and informational data into operating systems, customer service representatives’ training about products and features, warehouse management guidelines, product testing, quality assurance, in-store merchandising, recommended warranties, invoice payments, track and report product development and sales performance, product returns, and robust communications with cross-functional team and suppliers that inform and motivate prompt collaboration. Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of amateur radio products and market. Technical expertise in the amateur radio category to include product design review and managing the criteria, documentation and results of testing. Aptitude for technology-related products. Experience in new product identification, specifications, design and sourcing. Passion for communication, interaction with others, and continuous learning.
