Delivery Specialist

O'Reilly Auto Parts . The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Essential Job Functions Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to use. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times. Pick up customer returns (e.g., new, warranty, cores) and fill out driver return slips. Communicate any customer issues or needs to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damages immediately. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at day's end. Clock in/out per company policy. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, and handling core returns as assigned. Assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising when needed. Skills, Education, and Experience Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Adaptability to changing delivery situations. Driving record that meets company standards. Valid state driver's license and compliance with driving eligibility requirements. Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts. Ability to operate light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
