The Superintendent, Maintenance leads and manages the overall operations of a designated area to ensure safety, maximize financial returns, achieve department and mill objectives, and improve productivity and quality. Responsibilities include safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity, financial management, environmental compliance, capital improvements, and human resource management on a 24/7 basis. Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing daily operations reports and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities. Managing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, planning, and scheduling. Championing safety policies, conducting safety audits, and providing safety training. Monitoring operating costs, identifying inefficiencies, and resolving operational issues. Overseeing maintenance personnel and ensuring safe and efficient operations. Handling labor issues and involving HR when necessary. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field, or equivalent industrial experience. At least 5 years of maintenance or industrial experience. Knowledge of industrial safety, maintenance practices, and human resources management. Understanding of proactive maintenance, project management, and basic accounting.
