Specialist, Supply Chain (Logistics) FLSA Status

Manager, Materials (Corporate Warehouse) Summary

Responsible for providing logistics support for the corporation. Responsibilities and Duties

Work with SPI estimators and packaging group to determine freight costs for customer quoting. Address engineering changes that affect freight costs. Participate in selection of 3PL provider. Request freight quotes from 3PL and other carriers as needed. Provide freight options to engineering for tooling, fixture, gauge and resin shipments. Expedited shipments as necessary. Provide shipping direction to SPI tool shops. Review and approve freight invoices for Technical Center and Consolidation Center. Address billing issues/discrepancies with freight carriers. Assist brokers/freight forwarders with paperwork issues at borders. Prepare paperwork for international shipments. Participate in new program development: purchase component freight costs, HTC duty review, tracking and reporting. Train other personnel on shipping procedures and use of UPS and FedEx. Assist in purchasing supplies for the Technical Center and Consolidation Center. Track engineering shipments and provide status as requested. Provide logistic support for plants as needed. Investigate freight cost savings. Assist with determining correct HTC use for production shipments and miscellaneous item shipments. Complete other projects and duties as assigned. Performs other tasks as assigned by manager. Education and Experience

College degree and 2 years purchasing experience, or high school and 5 years purchasing experience. Skills and Abilities

Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. Proficient in use of Excel including Pivot Tables. Demonstrates good computer word processing and data entry skills. A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the cognitive portion). Travel Requirements
