Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a

Network Operations Lead

who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable and secure operation of client's enterprise network infrastructure. This role provides technical leadership and oversight across key functional areas including network infrastructure, server infrastructure, network security, telecommunications systems, and service desk operations.

The

Network Operations Lead

will manage and prioritize the monitoring and maintenance of network systems—including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, and wireless networks—and lead the Network Management Operations team. This position supports the client's end users, operations personnel, and strategic program management, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Network Operations Team to ensure optimal performance and reliability of client's network infrastructure.

Provide technical guidance for monitoring and maintaining enterprise network systems.

Oversee network security, server infrastructure, and telecommunications systems.

Manage and prioritize network monitoring activities and incident response.

Coordinate routine testing and analysis of network components and facilities.

Ensure timely and accurate resolution of hardware and software issues.

Support strategic program management and collaborate with client's stakeholders.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.

Minimum of

10+ years of senior-level networking experience

administering enterprise infrastructures in large, complex environments.

Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and projects.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, infrastructure, and equipment (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).

Experience implementing and managing enterprise-wide monitoring systems for servers, networking devices, and applications.

Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to federal environments.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to work independently.

Strong time management and attention to detail.

Must possess strong organizational abilities.

Highly Desired:

Certifications such as:

ITIL v3 or v4

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

Experience supporting federal agencies or mission-critical environments.
