The Role Job Summary We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager in our Jersey City, NJ office location. As a Project Manager you will provide project support and conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards. Your primary focus is delivering exceptional project outcomes while maintaining effective communication with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings for projects, fostering effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
Verify schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines, with internal and external resources, to meet objectives efficiently.
Conduct on-site inspections, document existing conditions, perform field testing, photograph, and create hand-sketches; observe and track work to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Record accurate field measurements and perform calculations throughout the project.
Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, maintaining clear and professional communication.
Understand investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications, for accurate interpretation and implementation.
Communicate project status and address issues; escalate unresolved issues to the direct supervisor in a timely manner.
Maintain organized records, files, drawings, and other project data in the company systems for easy accessibility and reference.
Collect post-project feedback and communicate it to the direct supervisor for improvement.
Stay current with job knowledge and industry trends through educational activities and professional networks.
Engage in networking and represent the company at events; pursue opportunities to promote the organization in the industry.
Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the firm, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Special Requirements Technical
Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and construction manuals.
Produce inspection field reports with findings, recommendations, and applicable codes and standards.
Review and evaluate change orders, assessing impact on scope, schedule, and budget; provide recommendations.
Review payment applications, verifying the accuracy of work and materials provided by contractors.
Client Relations
Participate in client meetings led by senior personnel; take meeting minutes and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution.
Assist in planning and running project meetings, communicating objectives, deliverables, and action items to stakeholders.
Internal Team
Collaborate with the team to understand scope, budget, goals, deliverables, and timelines to ensure project success.

Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related work experience.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in an architectural/engineering consulting firm or construction industry.
Licenses & Certifications
Engineering/Architectural Intern or Engineering in Training Certification preferred (for degree holders).
OSHA-10 Certification preferred.
Valid United States Driver’s License required, as travel to client sites is needed.
Skills
Proficient written and verbal communication.
Attention to detail and accuracy in project documentation.
Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
Professional and courteous interaction with clients and colleagues.
Ability to attend client meetings and events as needed.
Flexibility to work overtime, as needed.
Familiarity with drafting software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Revit) where applicable.
Strong teamwork and collaboration, with ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work in the field and travel to non-local projects as needed.
Efficient time management aligned with project budgets.
Salary Estimated salary range: $55,000 to $100,000. The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. The offered salary will vary based on experience, education, skills, abilities, and certifications/licenses if applicable.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
Height and Access Equipment
Safe operation and use of ladders, scaffolds, and other access equipment as required.
Ability to work safely at heights.
Outdoor Environment
Exposure to prolonged outdoor periods and diverse weather conditions (temperatures >85°F or Mobility
Extended standing and walking, possibly on uneven terrain.
Scheduling Flexibility
Ability to adjust lunch hours based on project demands; may work through regular lunch times.
