SALARY RANGE:

The anticipated salary range for this role is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

SUMMARY

Edge Autonomy is seeking a Quality Receiving Inspector II to join our team. The Quality Receiving Inspector II should have experience with receiving and system subcomponents and be able to work with the team to ensure an outstanding final product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

Perform receiving inspections on electronic, PCB, machined parts, 3D printed parts, and raw materials.

Documenting inspection results

Perform documentation inspection on purchased parts

Communicate and help resolve quality related issues with procurement and inventory

Process non-conforming product

Perform receiving inspection to assure product compliance with quality assurance standards and applicable specifications

Read and interpret released drawings, engineering change orders, assembly and inspection instructions

When directed perform audits of specific areas, processes and procedures

Use standard electrical and mechanical inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, mechanical gauges and other measuring devices

Maintain records of rejected/accepted material, maintain databases for analysis of nonconformities

Maintain records of Certificate of Conformances

Familiarity with calibration processes and documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or higher

2+ years of related experience

Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes

Demonstrated understanding of inspection processes

Experience using engineering drawings and wiring schematics

The ability to inspect a product or system to ensure that it is according to specifications and requirements.

Read and comprehend standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings.

Use equipment to test performance and operation.

Measure voltage, current, resistance or other electrical characteristics by using electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters, voltmeters, and ammeters.

Use various techniques to ensure the product quality is respecting the quality standards and specifications.

Oversee defects, packaging and send backs of products suppliers and contractors

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

IPC-610, 620, J-STD (preferred)

Knowledge and experience in aerospace standards AS9100, ISO-9001 (preferred)

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
