Job Summary
The Operations Lead (OL) oversees store processes and supports an active selling culture by ensuring that all aspects are maintained to documented company standards designed to drive sales. The OL provides expertise in all operation processes including opening, closing, training, and delegation of tasks while always demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The Operations Lead performs all store opening, closing, and Front-End processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution, and operational readiness, providing troubleshooting, team management, conditioning, and housekeeping, while ensuring building, assets, and team member security.
The OL coordinates directly with the Operations Manager to maximize staffing effectiveness that supports traffic, sales, and the customer experience, including compliance with company policies, meeting labor standards, customer interaction standards, and business metrics.
The OL participates in task management by planning and executing daily/weekly zone workload and assigning tasks to meet store, department, sales goals, and customer engagement targets.
The Operations Lead supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention, expense control, and customer experience to ensure effective and profitable store operations.
The OL drives productivity through training, coaching, planning, monitoring, and evaluating results.
The Operations Lead communicates and trains team members during daily interactions and team huddles to enhance the customer experience.
The OL participates in all freight processes, including processing incoming freight, stocking, down stocking, and maintaining organized store displays.
All other duties are based on business needs.
Nights and weekends required.
Qualifications & Competencies
At least 18 years old.
High School Diploma/Equivalent.
Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., or team lift 100 lbs.
Effective working independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliable, trustworthy, and ethical.
Creates a sense of urgency, promotes teamwork, delegates, and motivates team members.
Ability to train, develop, motivate, and lead in a safe and engaging environment.
Flexible and creative to handle shifting priorities.
