Job Description
The Reception and Treatment Center (RTC) is seeking a Mail/Material Specialist to handle all duties of incoming and outgoing mail.

Job Duties
Open and inspect inmate mail for illegal contraband or other unauthorized items.
Process and log incoming legal mail.
Operate mail room machines and determine postage due.
Sort, bundle and package outgoing items.
Process certified, insured, registered and UPS mailings.
Distribute mail within the facility.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Experience in shipping and receiving, handling inventory, warehouse work, or processing mail OR coursework or training in office support, shipping and receiving, warehouse, inventory, or mail processing practices and procedures.
Other requirements: Applicants must pass a medical exam, a drug test at a randomly announced time, and successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program at the Staff Training Academy. A valid driver’s license is required.
