Job Summary The Supply Planning Specialist serves as the central liaison between UPL and other entities, ensuring seamless coordination across supply chain activities, tolling operations, and export logistics. This role demands proactive communication, meticulous planning, and execution excellence to manage end‑to‑end supply and shipment processes.

Job Responsibilities

Demand forecasting: analyze annual budgets and key account data to predict material needs and align with tech suppliers and tollers.

Inventory management: monitor current levels and ensure alignment with forecasts to prevent shortages or excess stock, especially for tech and packaging materials.

Supplier coordination: place orders, track delivery schedules, and negotiate service levels to maintain a smooth flow of materials.

Production support: collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure material availability and address supply timing, order accuracy, and pricing.

Export documentation: file necessary papers with U.S. Customs to comply with export regulations and support UPL as the exporter.

Supplier and carrier communication: liaise with tollers, carriers, and UPL QA to secure COAs, shipment dates, and ocean Bill of Lading copies.

Material procurement: place monthly purchase orders for tech and packaging, manage GR/IR processes in SAP, and post production receipts.

Booking and shipment: create carrier bookings, upload all shipping and export documents, and collaborate with UPL Finance to invoice customers accurately.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or planning.

Experience with SAP and export documentation processes.

Familiarity with tolling operations and third‑party supplier management.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and follow‑up capabilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in SAP, Maersk booking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
