Overview
Delivery Specialist role at O'Reilly Auto Parts. The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips. Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day; clock in/out per policy. Assist with other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, core returns, etc. May occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks as business dictates. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Experience, and Abilities
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point system. Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Desired
Familiar with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired). Compensation and Benefits
