Delivery Specialist at O\'Reilly Auto Parts — responsible for maintaining and operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner, collecting money on COD deliveries, and handling customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operation. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and monies collected secure at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips. Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Assist with other duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and stocking orders. May occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, or help with merchandising tasks as needed. All other duties as assigned. Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the standard set in the company\'s 14/18‑point record system. Must possess a legally required state driver\'s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements. Desirable
Familiar with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
