The Role We are seeking a strategic and dynamic
Operations Manager
to lead our efforts in Greenwood, Indiana. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day activities and continual improvement of the operations team. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data‑driven leader with a passion for people and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
What You’ll Do
Business Management: Assess, guide, manage, and prioritize all aspects of the shop floor operation. Adhere to production schedules to meet customer requirements. Ensure accurate reporting of all production (efficiency, scrap, downtime, etc.).
Team Leadership & Development: Lead department meetings, support and promote continual improvement projects and oversee initiation and/or execution of engineering changes. Promote a safety, employee, and customer satisfaction atmosphere and teamwork. Drive accountability at all levels of responsibility.
Quality, Problem Solving & Reporting: Lead operations group to meet or exceed all department objectives. Provide written action plans for any required corrective action and ongoing improvement. Ensure team member involvement in corrective actions and continual improvement. Comply with all company‑directed policies and procedures developed by the quality system and adhere to all quality requirements as outlined in the control plans.
Customer & Supplier Relationships: Support customer and Emotiv presentations as they relate to items of production responsibility.
Safety & Other Duties: Foster a safety‑first environment to achieve safety goals and objectives for the facility. Comply with corporate, State, and Federal health, safety and environmental regulations. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or management discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years related experience in automotive manufacturing environment or JIT Assembly and Sequencing environment.
Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills, with the ability to delegate and work well under pressure.
Problem solving skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Health, Safety, Physical & Travel Requirements
Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
Up to 5% of travel required; valid driver’s license required.
