What you'll do and how you will contribute to the team as a Freight Flow Associate at Sam's Club. This role includes operating equipment, inventory control, customer service, safety, merchandising, and ensuring efficient club operations in accordance with company policies and standards. Responsibilities
Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics by applying related action plans and executing business processes. Operate forklift following company standards and guidelines; pick up, move, place, and position merchandise and pallets. Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks with policies, data, and resources; communicate progress and adapt to feedback and changes. Receive stock and organize merchandise from distribution centers and suppliers; manage inventory flow and paperwork. Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with self-service technology, and guiding purchasing decisions. Maintain safety of the facility by conducting safety checks and following hazardous materials handling guidelines; report unsafe conditions. Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation; stock, rotate, and display merchandise; manage inventory integrity and promotional displays; assist with sanitation and food safety policies. Ensure club pickup orders are filled and staged according to policy; assist Merchandising Associates with order accuracy and timing. Handle inventory using tools and equipment safely; monitor in-stock levels and report shrinkage or poor practices. Identify shrink opportunities and problems with products and services and take corrective actions. Operate and maintain forklifts; report unsafe conditions and ensure equipment in proper working order. Proactively assist customers with technology services and ensure knowledge of technology offerings. Qualifications
Minimum: 90 days of prior forklift experience with forklift certification; ability to safely use pallet jacks; must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred: Customer service experience, retail experience, supervising a team. Primary Location
