Principal Technical Services Project Management (Operations Project Manager)
based out of
Apopka, FL .
What You’ll Get To Do
Serves as the primary Manufacturing interface with the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain (SCM), Mission Assurance (MA), and customers.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer‑satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem‑solving with program managers, line managers, and customers.
Cost Account Manager (CAM) for Manufacturing Operations budget, including Earned Value Management reporting and variance reporting. Ensures that the required manufacturing and test resources are forecasted and secured to execute the job (people, equipment, and facilities).
Representing Manufacturing at the program Configuration Control Board, ensuring proper implementation of design changes.
Active participant in program risk management activity, ensuring any applicable Manufacturing risks and/or opportunities are captured and managed in the program risk register.
Supporting and generating proposal documentation as needed to foster new work.
Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with several layers of coworkers and management.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity, creativity, and participation of internal and/or external personnel & teams.
Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Please note this is an individual contributor role and not a management role.
Basic Qualifications (Principal Level, T3)
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience; Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of related experience.
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, testing, and/or design.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or Control Account Management (CAM) techniques, which includes program cost and schedule management.
Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or project management.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications (Principal Level, T3)
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
Experience with Basis of Estimates, Risk Management, Return to Green plans, managing budgets, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Experience working on government contracts.
Proficient in Risk and Opportunity management.
Experience with manufacturing production proposals.
Experience with SAP and MRP systems in a low‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing environment.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
