Community Manager The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. As a Community Manager, you will manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management. As an on‑site leader, you will supervise all aspects of the property and staff to ensure compliance with Asset’s policies and procedures, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel Management: Regular/daily onsite attendance is required; screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on‑site staff; maintain effectiveness through ongoing training and coaching; document performance issues and manage disciplinary actions.
Financial Management: Achieve highest possible net operating income through cost control and revenue & leasing improvement; develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts; reconcile deposits, rent collections, vendor invoices, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Strategic Leasing Management: Develop yearly marketing plan, execute marketing strategies and systems, ensure effective leasing techniques, resolve resident complaints, implement retention programs, and oversee leasing documentation.
Administrative & Maintenance Management: Ensure accurate reporting, lead emergency response, monitor service requests, maintain property appearance, oversee equipment and supplies, give direction to maintenance and rehabilitation activities.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 4‑year experience in housing industry, or 1‑2 years related experience.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Basic computer skills and understanding of all on‑site software functions.
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements Employee regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, talk, hear, walk, sit; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
License / Equipment Must have reliable transportation due to the emergency on‑call requirement.
Salary Range : $32 per year to $33 per year
