Halff has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with a background in Public Works/Land Development for our Orlando or Tavares, FL office. Desired candidate will be directly responsible for projects, work with the team leader in the development of plans, specifications and other contract documents for residential, commercial and industrial land development projects that include paving, grading, drainage, water lines, sanitary sewers, and other related items. Candidate would act as point of contact for clients, oversee project design and permitting, manage staff, as well as mentor less experienced positions. Position requires strong communication with support staff, clients and governmental agencies. The candidate will be involved in marketing, project reporting, forecasting and client invoicing.

What You Will Do

Further develop and mentor members of the Site Development/Public Works Team Project performance (production, profitability, quality, staffing, etc.) Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout Central Florida including private clients and multiple Cities and Counties Identify business opportunities and lead successful pursuits Directly manage projects and oversee production staff on various and multiple projects Work closely with other Halff leaders and manage resources to successfully workshare across the company on multiple projects

What You Will Need

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering Licensed PE in Florida or could be obtained within 6 months 8+ years of Public Works/Land Development experience Strong people Leader skills and the ability to maintain client relations Ability to work independently and make significant, effective decisions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Business Development and local connections preferred An understanding of AutoCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, ICPR, Stormwise a plus
