Distribution Center Supervisor - GDC
The primary purpose of the Distribution Center Supervisor - GDC is to keep everything in our warehouses and on our trucks moving smoothly. They are in charge of managing inventory inbound and outbound, ensuring efficient store replenishment, overseeing associates, maintaining safety and quality, and handling additional duties as needed. This role requires computer skills and 1+ years of experience as a supervisor (preferably at a place like ours). This is just a general overview of their job duties. You may be asked to assist in other ways too, depending on the needs of your distribution center.
Responsibilities
Supervise the department responsible for in‑meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, while completing the day‑to‑day operations to attain optimal customer service levels.
Maintain a high awareness in keeping a safe work environment and safe work culture through daily communication with associates and leads. Safety must be a consistent message through education, correction, encouragement and recognition.
Monitor and adjust associate staffing levels and schedules to meet customer volume demands and seasonal volume fluctuations.
Ensure strict associate adherence to all engineered labor standards.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards across all warehouse facilities.
Supervise administrative hourly associates and operations, leads, including planning and evaluating performances.
Establish performance requirements and personal development targets.
Monitor performance and provide coaching for performance improvement and development.
Coach and guide associates to meet required productivity goals within each department, using education, training, involvement and progressive discipline.
Drive productivity throughout the warehouse by maintaining a visible presence on the floor of the distribution centers.
Review labor management reports to identify performance issues.
Conduct audits per established schedule and identify potential barriers to maximizing productivity, such as congestion, slotting issues and safety.
Proactively work to resolve those issues.
Qualifications
1+ years of warehouse supervisor experience.
Computer skills.
Candidate must be 18 years or older.
Additional Requirements Weekends are required.
