The Warehouse Specialist functions as a warehouse worker and driver in the Furnishings Warehouse, performing storing, inventory, and delivery duties. Must have knowledge of Army ranking. Responsibilities
Make deliveries and pick-ups of furnishings as part of a team. Perform physical tasks to move, deliver, load, and unload furniture within the warehouse and on-site. Assist in inventory control, storage, acquisition, and property disposal. Operate vehicles up to 26 ft. for furniture pickup and delivery. Perform minor vehicle maintenance and load cargo appropriately. Follow safety procedures and maintain a good driving record. Perform other related duties as needed. Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 years of specialized experience in DoD preferred. Valid driver’s license and knowledge of operating a 26 ft. box truck. Knowledge of warehouse loading and storage techniques. Ability to use MHE and pass DoD physical and background checks. Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred. Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform basic math and work independently. Work Environment
Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment requiring adaptability. Overtime may be necessary. Physical and Other Demands
