Overview

An asphalt foreman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of an asphalt paving crew on a construction project, including supervising workers, ensuring quality standards are met, managing equipment, scheduling tasks, and maintaining safety protocols while laying asphalt on roads, parking lots, or other surfaces, often working closely with project managers to meet project deadlines and specifications Qualifications

Experience: Several years of experience in asphalt paving operations, including previous supervisory roles Knowledge: Thorough understanding of asphalt paving techniques, quality standards, and safety regulations Leadership abilities: Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively Technical skills: Familiarity with operating heavy construction equipment Communication skills: Clear and concise communication with crew members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
