As GRC grows, this role offers the opportunity to develop into a

People Ops

Partner path, gaining exposure to employee relations, advising managers, and contributing to broader People strategy once the basics are built and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities Compliance

Manage compliance processes: background checks, drug screens, I-9s, unemployment claims, garnishments, workers’ compensation, and employment verifications.

Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records in Rippling.

Track and monitor driver license expirations through Holman and LeeTrans.

Ensure compliance with state payroll tax requirements and workers’ compensation filings.

Support Prevailing Wage payroll compliance

Employee Experience

Smooth, consistent handoff from Recruiting to People Ops and partnering with hiring managers to empower new hires with a strong start

Build end-to-end onboarding - onboarding aligned with the employee experience goals

Maintain role‑specific training tracks (field, CDL, corporate, etc.)

Create a culture of connection and partnership with all employees through regular check‑ins and other innovative methods.

Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and eventually, employee relations concerns.

Support employees with benefits administration and related questions.

Process and Reporting

Document and improve HR processes to drive efficiency and consistency across the company.

Build and maintain People Ops reports to make data driven decisions across the full employee lifecycle (recruiting, employee relations, benefits utilization, turnover, offboarding).

Run the configuration of GRC’s HRIS to optimize efficiency, data accuracy, and appropriate visibility within the broader organization

Qualifications Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or related work experience.

3–5 years of experience in HR Generalist, or HR Coordinator role.

Prior experience in a tech or high‑growth environment strongly preferred (construction/field HR experience not required).

Experience with Prevailing Wage a plus.

Technical Skills

Hands‑on HRIS management experience required - Rippling strongly preferred; BambooHR, Paylocity, or similar acceptable.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; able to create, analyze, and present People metrics.

Core Competencies

Extreme attention to detail paired with the ability to work at high speed.

Strong process orientation, with a track record of documenting and improving workflows.

Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, scaling environment

Mature approach to managing and handling highly confidential employee data.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across both office and field employees.

Interest in growing into a People Partner/HRBP role, with exposure to employee relations and manager support.

: $70,000 - $80,000 + 10% bonus
